I think Ferrer will cover this anyway but yet lose the match, it won't hurt me if he wins as I'm only doing crappy paper;) BOL

Gasquet, Nalbandian and Kohlschreiber were beyond embarassing that was just utter crap.
How in the world can one waste 11 setpoints, Kohlie should have taken care off Nieminen in 3 easy sets, he had him in the bag. Would have been a great quarterfinal but now we get to see how Rafa will kill those ridiculous 70mph 2nd serves, boring night session match.

Hey everyone, hope everythings going well. Haven't found time to post, lack of sleep is uninspiring, but I have had a very enjoyable AU. All the work done in the first week for me. Time to sit back and watch the action from here. Have outright bets on Djokovic and Sharapova which should keep me more than interested. Also had around 15k green on Gasquet ---backed at 140s, which I planned to lay off at the 1/4 final stage Ah well, can't complain its been fun.

again well done jez my friend
i am finding it real hard to find good bets these days, Blakes hit and miss style let me down too many times so did not want to take any chances, Ferru was short priced but i guess the hcp bet was decent bet, limits at books suck for me though
oh well long saison ahead of us right

YTD: 7-2-2 (+11,61 units)Blake V CILIC @2.40 (2,00 units)Cilic eats those kind of players alive. Blake has played well so far but was forced to 5 sets against Grosjean which shouldn't have happened. Ferrer V FERRERO @2.80 ( 2,00 units)Huh? Ferrero is back to his best again and CANNOT be that big against Ferrer. I expect Ferrero to reach the semi here and force Federer to 5 sets. Djokovic V Hewitt HEWITT TO WIN A SET @1.70 (0,75 units)Hewitt won't go out without winning a set infront of his crowd, forget about that. He'll put up a nice fight and maybe cause an upset! BOL YTD: 7-5-2 (+6,86 units)Ughh ugly! Congrats Jez! Youzhny V TSONGA @3.00 (1,00 units)What to say? I expect Youzhny to come through but it won't be a walkover. Tsonga has a good shot to win a few sets and when he plays out of his mind he can very well win it. Matchup favours Youzhny. Sharapova V Henin
SHARAPOVA 2-1 @ 5.30 (0,50 units) HENIN 2-1 @4.10 (0,50 units)
Williams V Jankovic
JANKOVIC 2-1 @8.00 (0,50 units) WILLIAMS 2-1 @3.85 (0,50 units)BOL

I'm feeling your pain too man! Harder to bet this year...liquidity sucks, and I'm finding the matches are even less predictable (if I bet X underdog, it loses, and Y underdog wins!). Had to alter my strategy a little, which is why my approach is a little unorthodox at the moment...but we'll reassess post-Australian Open. As you say, plenty of tennis left, and, as you know, I particuarly look forward to indoors and grass (but don't want to wish half the season away just yet!). For tonight, I'm not betting anything. Tsonga is very dangerous, but I think the match-up is more in favour of Youzhny. Can't find the motivation to back either man's odds. As for Nadal...need I say more? The under 33.5 game handicap looks good, but I think Nieminen can trouble him for a set...and if the Finn somehow does steal a set, the bet will easily lose...so I'm not tempted. I prefer handicaps in such situations, and -6.5 games is a fairly accurate line, based on their past encounters, so no bet. I don't bet WTA, but, for what it's worth, I think Serena's power should finally put an end to Jankovic's run. BOL tonight everyone!

Nice work with Tsonga, Lo!
For tonight, I have taken a small stake, low-interest bet on the following:
Djokovic -4.5 games over Ferrer @ 1.99 [Pinnacle] (0,50 units) - not going to be an easy match, but I consider Nole a firm favourite. Ferrer can obviously fight all day, and if he gets enough balls back Nole can be pushed into missing, but the Serb is practically the undisputed world #2 hard court player, and his bigger serve and greater weight of shot should make the difference, especially with the heavier balls they're using. Doubts also as to Ferrer's speed/fitness (had leg injury problems in R4), which is a crucial aspect of his game. Provided that Nole doesn't have a blow-out in one particular set (not really expecting him to drop one anyway), I see him covering the handicap (don't expect tiebreaks to feature, but can survive with one).
Good luck everyone playing tonight! ;D

One for Friday (posted in advance). Hate fading Federer (Nadal and Djokovic), but I think it is warranted here, and I've only used small stakes:
Djokovic over Federer @ 3.50 (0,40 units) - seen very little AO (and nothing of Nole in 2008), but, for me, Federer will HAVE to step up his game to get through this one. Djokovic is a worthy world #2 hard court player, and it is reasonable to think that a good serving performance and well-oiled ground strokes can enable him to keep this match tight at the very least. Can't give Nole less than 40% chance here.
These will be the last few bets I post here...I don't have the time to be posting to an empty forum.

Hey everyone, how's it going? Would you believe it, I forgot the web address of this place lol Anyway, here's some action for tonight.... BONDARENKO/BONDARENKO @ 2.5 Pinnacle. Having a go on the sisters in the final, think this is a good price. They've had some great results so far beating the best team in the world Black/Huber, Garrigues/Pascual and Peng/Sun. It's strange that last year they played together and did pretty much nothing but something seems to have clicked. Azarenka/Peer have also had some good results this tournament beating a couple of higher seeded pairs including a big comeback against Yan/Zheng. They've just started playing together this year, with Azarenka in particular getting some good doubles results last year with various partners. I think they are the more accomplished pair, but I'm still rating this match pretty evenly given how the Bondarenkos have played thus far. Plus, I really like Alona. DJOKOVIC @ 3.6 Betfair. I have really high hopes for Novak in this one, hope he doesn't disappoint. Fed's performances have been up-and-down in this tournament, he started looking magnificant but then had a monster match against Tipsarevic. Since then, he's come through OK but that was against guys - Berdych and Blake - who he owns mentally. I don't think he's played too well in those matches, and is vunerable tonight. Djokovic has come through without dropping a set, and looks to be coming bang into form considering his last match against Ferrer. He had a wobble at the end, which is a concern here, but not a massive one. H2H is 5-1 to Federer, but the last two matches are most important as Djokovic improved so much last year. Djokovic won a cracker in the final of Cincinatti on a final set tie break, which really established himself at the top of the game. Then they met in the US Open final, with Fed coming through in 3, but Djokovic had a load of chances and should have won the first two sets. He showed that day that he has the game to take on Fed in a slam, now he needs to show that he has the balls.
