Hobalt (Australia) My Bet of the Night has to be Flavia Pennetta to Beat Eleni Daniilidou. got 1.75 on Betfair. Flavia's Form is great,a lot more consistent, no terrific chances of her winning the AO so playing in the final and playing until the end of this tourney should not bother her,her chances are better here.. Acclamatized well and holds are 3-0 H2H over Eleni who other than beating a poor Bondarenko has not met a player of Flavia's quality this week. She did met a relatively similar player like flavia last week (Aravane) and lost.....
Opinions welcome.

Hi everybody!
Can someone tell me why so high odds on Eleni tonight? 3.37 for a player who has beaten Vera the two previous encounters on hard? Was the Russian so impressive this week? Hardly. Well, neither Eleni exceeded, but she showed good fight yesterday and defeated Pennetta against the odds. What's more, looking at the stats, she had a good run in the finals, winning 4 out of a total of 5. H2H 2-1 in Eleni's favor, so I'll surely give it a try. Cover with +1.5 set handicap. 1 unit on Daniilidou@3.37 over Zvonareva.

Luck went the other way yesterday and eleni was better @ the points that mattered... Vera I think a better player overall and tho Eleni has just proved me wrong, I still dont think she'll do it twice! Vera's Title for me

Well, Vera got injured and the bet is void. Now, looking at the AO MD I can only say that Sharapova is biting her lips cause she was "the chosen one" from the seeded players to meet Lindsay in the second round.

Hello all. Due to the enormity of of the matches in the first few days, I will use the Picks System for the 1st week and detailed insight for the second. Picks to follow in this same thread. Every contributor is welcome.

DAY 01 - AO GRAND SLAM
PICKS
01 -- Edina Gallovits 02 -- Ekaterina Ivanova 03 -- Aravane Rezai 04 -- Angelique Kerber 05 -- Jill Craybas 06 -- Tatiana Perebiynis 07 -- Dominika Cibulkova 08 -- Su-Wei Hsieh 09 -- Julia Schruff 10 -- Casey Dellacqua
As apparent above, I'm more interested in evenly based matches and dont even bother tipping favs most the time. Even the touch of a bold upset tip as well eg, Cibulkova. Anyways first rounds are always tricky and theres the occasional retirement here and there to consider, all thesame those are my picks for the night and Good luck all.

-- yeah remember her 2 seasons ago, she was fantastic to trade on back then and apart from Sharapova,I never heard anyone with a more annoying grunt lol. She also looked to be playing with way too much extra kilos on, for someone who works so hard on court ,it was no surprise that she got injury probs.. Interestin' history, will like to see her back ofcourse

Not that bad but I could definately have done way better.... 7-3 for day one picks but particularly disappointed with Cibulkova's loss, she had that match in her racket! Anyways statistically at least, its an encouraging day. More picks on predominately evenly based matches to be updated today.... in the meanwhile all contributions are always welcome

Hi all,
Looks like an interesting site.
WTA is my "second sport" so happy to put a few picks up.
Already taken Craybas to beat Vesnina @2.62 - although slightly better available now at Pinnacle.
Pure value bet - both players largely mediocre but this is Craybas's time of year i.e when she isn't knackered....
Vesnina is never going to amount to much from what i've seen of her. Have to give the American around 45%+ here.

Personally I will be on Vesnina, was impressed with her win against vakulenko and when it came to crunch time in the later part of that match, she showed she got the balls to win in a grandslam... Craybas may have more repetoire of shots @ her disposal but her serve is terrible and vesnina's compared to her is way better. Ultimately it will be who gets the more breaks that win, I'm swaying towards Elena to win or @ least get the more commanding postion after the early exchanges...

Not a great day by anymeans yesterday and quite dispointed with the even result 5-5 due to quite a lot of daring picks but usually if there will be any upsets and unexpected results, its in the first few days. Safina and Safarova must know what I mean Total statistic to now on 20 picks = 12-8. DAY 03PICKS21 -- Virginie Razzano 22 -- Tathiana Perebiynis 23 -- Elena Vesnina 24 -- lindsay Davenport. Best of Luck everyone.

No problem, I too have Vesnina as a favourite in this match but backing at odds of around 1.55-6, i just can't see that as value for two players who aren't poles apart in quality...
The price of 2.6+ is simply to big to ignore for Craybas
As for the win against Vak - well that was Vak's first match of the year so i don't read too much into that.
Agree with you though about Big Linz.....really hope she turns over Sharapova - my least fave player in WTA, the sooner her god awful shreiking is dispatched from Melbourne the better...
Took 3.4 on Betfair and will be very disappointed not to get some decent trading in that match
