For a predominantly WTA guy, just me tots on the lists above
Guilbis = great on hard courts andwould be a great bet against higher ranked players as he shown against robredo, johansson and a few others he beat but i was terribly shocked to see his weaknesses against Cilic ,so would be wise to be wary when he faces big servers
lovely shots when they go in, terribly pathetic when they dont. a player to watch and asses his present form b4 divin in.
Nishikori- a Darcis like material, i only see good things from this fella, will have an eagle eye on him, great back at low odds against decent but average higher ranked players, i think he will cause even more surprises this season
Korolev- thot he was great when he first burst into the scene but i really dont see him going that high up this year, too many fraities in his game and winning 6-1 then losing the next set 1-6 tells u his story, I would be wary. but hes also good on clay so will be looking to back him more on that surface....
Darcis- for me a future top tenner, fantastic mental, great backhand and always in the fight, in this list his my numero uno, somehow ur money is always safe with darcis if when he loses, u will green out
Young- Impressed me this season after winning the juniors in wimb he went on to collect fantastic results in the challengers, finally living up to potential but his massive loses in the first round in major events still hangs over him, one to wait on see on.
Zverev- good season for him but doesnt he play similar to that lefty serve and volleyer Berrer?
personally i no fan of serve and volleyers because they win on their day but wont be expecting them in finals much, his results were eye cashing, even on clay so would be one to look out for and sniff for surprises
Cilic- very promising new Ancic and hes not far off the original just yet, u can expect him to beat players his standard most the time and trouble the higher rankers but i dont think this is his year to shine just yet....
Haase-- Another dutch addition to the scene, started watching him 2 seasons ago and he doing his climbing for his potential , think he will be tough on hard courts but still need another season i feel before he can start to shine....
Sela-- very promising, fantastic backhand and great oncourt composure, if he does make it to more senior events, yes i will be backing this fella but he needs more exposure, if he gets more, i figure we will make some money off this guy. will adopt and track and see approach
his best seems to be on hard courts....
Fognini-- along with Bolleli are the best things to come out of italia so far but i dont think any of those 2 will make a big impact this season, decent on clay as expected but no hard pedigree proven yet, beating murray i kinda think was a one off....
Stakhovsky- I personally think hes actually regressive to what i saw from him last season, he losses to some players i expected himto beat mounted a lot this season, no promise here
Montcourt- monaco's man, clay is what comes to mind when that name is mentioned but even @ that not much show with the wildcards he gets every summer lol no promise here....
G-Puyol-- another clay man, when the time comes, will be a great trading player on that surface, seen him come from impossible positions to win clay matches but small time south american like player.... Pastor is the one to watch in that group.
Bozolijac-- dont see him leaving his challenger circiut anytime soon.....
Petzchener-- yep we are on to one here! he was quite good in his ITF days players who trained with him then say but has taken a while to show anything on the senior rounds yet, now promoted to the german national team he should be ready to roll now, will expect a lot from him on both surfaces this season, hes definately onthe radar.
Other players i think will cuz trouble this season--
1)V Troicki ( a future top 10 imo)
2)C. Berlocq
3)A falla
4)L recourdec
